Ok Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, (yes groan, but listen up) has this new app out (iPhone and Android) that’s for people in abusive relationships. It’s called Aspire News and it’s disguised as a regular news app, but when you go to the “Help” section of the app, it leads you to domestic violence resources and also has a “Go Button” that when you press it, if you’re in a compromising situation, alerts local authorities as well as local shelters and starts recording everything that is going on.
Now, if you’re looking up resources on the app and your abuser is near, simply press the X button and it brings you to a random news page. Same goes for the actual foundation site.
ITS COMPLETELY FREE

Recently I was alerted to a UK
documentaryreality tv show on Channel 4, called “Posh Pawn” -which you can view here on YouTube. If you are outside the USA, this video might be blocked from you, so here is a copy on Vimeo. Password: bedazzled
Go to the 18 minute mark. Watch this segment.
A Doggie Drawings client had emailed me this video and when I first saw this, I was in shock, as you can imagine. Did the producers of Posh Pawn grab artwork off the internet and neglected to get my permission to use these drawings on their show? Why is there bling and someone else’s signature added to my drawings? Was this artist and her “thriving pet portrait business” an actor? WTF is going on?
Thanks to my Facebook friends and supporters, in the past 24 hours, I have learned that this Lori Thompson has been selling these dog canvasses to pet boutiques and galleries in London for several months now. She has a facebook page - ‘Diamondogs’ (from which I have now been blocked… or it might have been shut down) and it is full of bedazzled copies my drawings with her signature on them. (Google cache of FB page)
Screenshots from the Diamondogs Facebook:
Here is my original Hana & Minky drawing.
All my drawings with stuff added to the collars and Lori’s signature….
From her market store:
Recognize Armstrong in her Diamondogs logo?
According to the info on her daughter’s facebook page, this booth was at Greenwich Market, London.
I have contacted a few retailers and galleries (here is an example)who have been carrying Lori Thompson’s artwork and advertising these images on their websites, and I am in the process of investigating further.
Yes, I have an attorney and we are taking action.
For now, this is how you can help:
I am trying to track down retailers of these copied drawings. If you have any information, please get in touch.
I could also use some help with legal fees.
Please commission custom artwork from me or buy some Boogie artwork. I also offer free dog behavior illustrations and would be extremely grateful for a Paypal donation on this page.
*UPDATE: I have had people offer to chip in for my legal fees. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for your generosity. I don’t feel comfortable asking for money but I really do appreciate any donation help at all. I have been asked to set up a Paypal DONATE button so here it is. Please make sure to leave me your address so that I can send you a small thank you gift.
Thank you for all your support!

spookybelledraws asked: Hey, thank you for your response on my bird post c: My bird does have access to grit and a cuttlebone, so in theory he shouldn't have much trouble digesting his food. Since it does look a bit like vomit I am going to take him to a vet just to be safe; I also kept the things I took out of his cage, so I can show the vet. Thanks again! <3
You’re welcome. Lots of things can cause digestive issues; my first suspicion is a bacterial infection — make sure they do a crop swab and gram strain (poop smear) to look for bacteria/fungal infections. Good luck! I’d be beside myself if I found something like that in my birds’ cage.
I’m kind of worried because my cockatiel is doing something weird he hasn’t done before; so I decided to wield the power of the internet to try and figure out what’s wrong with him. Everyone who can’t help can scroll the fuck on and look at lolcats and/or porn, but if you have five seconds and even the faintest idea of what might be happening then please take a look.
Looks to me like dried vomit or some other type of digestive issue. Get your little guy to the vet as soon as you can. It sounds like you’re doing what you can for now but he should go first thing Monday, especially if it keeps up. Keep the things you found in the cage or at least bring the pics. Go to an avian vet if one’s close enough.
Also, hookbills (which includes cockatiels) do not need grit. They remove the hulls from their food and chew it, negating the need, unlike softbills (canaries). The reason they need a cuttlebone or mineral block is for the calcium and minerals found therein, also for beak conditioning.
I hope the vet can help him.
